This is the Privacy Policy of The Actors’ Temple, the purpose of which is to inform you on how we process and care for your personal data, including information collected over the phone, through our website, through our newsletter, social media, email, in person, or on Punchpass.

Personal Data, how we collect it and how we process it

We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together follows:

Identity Data includes first name, last name, title, photographed image, filmed image, voice recording, IP address.

Contact Data includes billing address, delivery address, email address, telephone numbers

Financial Data includes bank account and payment card details

Transaction Data includes details about payments to and from you and other details of products and services you have purchased from us

We collect information that you provide for direct correspondence about our courses and services, as well as the purpose of email notifications, weekly newsletters and marketing/advertising information.

We will only ever ask you for the necessary information needed to process your data. We may process data including the following personal information about you, where supplied: Name, Gender, Date of birth, Address(es) or location data*, Email, Telephone number(s), Information pertaining to disability and ethnicity*, Physical details such as height, Training and skills, Information/ documents to enable us to vet an application, Information/ documents you may provide to prove age, identity or other requirement where the law requires this to confirm discount eligibility, IP address, Information gathered by the use of cookies*, Photographs, video and audio clips, Career history, URLs and links to social media, Bank and payment data, For security, an encrypted record of your login password.

We may receive some information that you submit to any third-party website that you access from a link contained on the Site. Both us and the operator of that third-party site will be the data controller in respect of any such information and you should check the privacy policy of that website to find out how they use your data. Performance of Contract this means processing your data where it is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party or to take steps at your request before entering into such a contract

We make sure we consider and balance any potential impact on you (both positive and negative) and your rights before we process your personal data for our legitimate interests. Ways in which we will use your personal data
To register you as a new customer.

To process and deliver your registration, i.e manage payments, fees and charges, collect and recover money owed, and correspond to you regarding our service.

To manage our relationship with you through correspondence.

To inform you on new and upcoming project and courses to better serve your interest.

Note that we may process your personal data for more than one lawful ground depending on the specific purpose for which we are using your data. We strive to provide you with choices regarding certain personal data uses, particularly around marketing and advertising. We have established the following personal data control mechanisms:

Promotional offers from us
You will receive marketing communications from us if you have requested information from us or purchased goods or services from us and, in each case, you have not opted out of receiving that marketing.

We will get your express opt-in consent before we share your personal data with any company outside the The Actors’ Temple.

If a change happens to our business, then the new owners may use your personal data in the same way as set out in this privacy notice.

We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality. We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

By law we have to keep basic information about our customers including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for seven years after they cease being customers for tax purposes.

In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

The right to object to our processing of personal data, where applicable i.e. where processing is based on our legitimate interests (or in performance of a task in the public interest/exercise of official authority); direct marketing or processing for the purposes of scientific/historical research and statistics).

No fee required

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable admin fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further

information in relation to your request to speed up our response.

Time limit to respond
We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
