Actor, Teacher

I studied at Oxford University and the Guildford School of Acting. My theatre appearances include Romeo and Juliet, What the Butler Saw (Teatro i, Milan,) Writings in the Sand (Teatro Olmetto, Milan) and European tours of The Importance of Being Earnest, The Taming of the Shrew, Pygmalion and Antony and Cleopatra. Short film appearances include a bio-pic of the notorious 17th-century poet and libertine, the Earl of Rochester and Lord Byron in Mysterious Discoveries for TBS Tokyo. My major preoccupation while studying with various teachers in London, was the search for someone who could show me a way of acting that was emotionally alive. I met Tom in 1994 and noticed that the actors in his class had a strong, human connection with each other and, above all, what was spoken from their hearts went straight to mine.  I taught acting in Milan for five years on the principles pioneered by Sanford Meisner and am now one of the lead tutors at The Actors’ Temple.
